Ghana is set to face Morocco, Gabon and Comoros in Group C of the 2021 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set to be held in Cameroon from 9th January to 6th February 2022.
The draw for the continental competition was held earlier today 17th August 2021 held at Yaounde Conference Centre as the 24 participating teams were divided into six groups of four teams each.
Group A: see hosts Cameroon take on Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Cape Verde
Group B: favourites Senegal are up against Zimbabwe, Guinea and Malawi
Group D: could be the group of death as Nigeria will have to get past Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau
Group E: Algeria and Côte d’Ivoire look favourites to get out off the group as they take on Sierra Leone and Equatorial Guinea
Group F: sees Tunisia take on Mali, Mauritania and The Gambia
Ghana will be looking to end their 39-year wait for another AFCON title but will have to get past not only Morocco, Gabon and Comoros in Group C but the rest of the participants to make that dream a reality.
