An award scheme organized by the board of Confederation of African Football (CAF) yearly to honour outstanding players -Ghanaian forward Kamaldeen Sulemana is thought to have been nominated this year (2022).
The young talent Black Stars of Ghana winger had a splendid campaign in the France capital with Stade Rennes last season hence his nomination for the Young Player of the Year award.
The 20-year-old competes with nine others for this award including Tunisia and Manchester United Hannibal Mejbri, Pape Matar Sarr from Senegal, Akinkunmi Amoo from Nigeria, Valencia and Guinea Ilaix Moriba Kourouma and a host of others.
Kamalden last season was struck by injury but had a good campaign in his 25 features in all competitions involving 7 goals [5 goals and 2 assists] alongside a list of most successful dribblers in Europe’s top 5 leagues per 90 minutes made by Under-21 players.
