The pole’s long-awaited transfer of Robert Lewandowski leaving Bayern Munich for Barcelona has been fully wrapped up today.
Having been with the German giants since 2014 after he departs from rival Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer, the Poland striker’s story with the “Bavarian” is understood to be over following his €50m move to the “Catalans” on a four-year contract.
He is now Barcelona’s fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Denmark defender Andreas Christensen, Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie who joined on a free transfer after their respective contracts with clubs came to an end and Brazil winger -Raphinha from Leeds United in a deal worth up to £55m.
With a year left on his contract, the 33-year-old ended his eight spells with the German outfit today with records of 344 goals in 374 games in all competitions -emerged as the club’s second-highest scorer behind Gerd Muller.
Also won the league title since joining Bayern [eighth in a row] and the UEFA Champions League in the 2019-20 season.
Lewandowski disclosed this on signing for Barcelona “I’m finally here. I’m delighted to be at Barca,”.
“The last few days have been very long, but the deal is done and now I can focus on a new chapter and challenge in my life.
“I’ve always wanted to play in La Liga and for the big clubs.
“I’m here to help Barca get back to the top and win as many titles as possible.”
Officially denounce today, it’s reported he has joined his teammates in Miami for their pre-season tour in the United States.
