Rumoured heading to Bayern Munich for weeks now, Sadio Mane has officially completed his move to the German capital today for a reported fee of €32M plus €9M add-ons ending his eight-year spells in England.
So determined of leaving England this summer, the Senegalese attacker’s wishes have come to pass.
Joining the Bundesliga giants marks his 6th club in his professional career. Generation Football Club in Senegal to FC Metz in France in 2011 for an undisclosed fee. Then to Red Bull Salzburg in 2012 for a reported fee of €4M. Two seasons in Austria sealed a transfer move to Southampton in the English Premier League for €23M then traded clubs within the league to Liverpool for a 41.2M reported fee in 2016.
Joining the Reds was the beginning of his career, won so many major trophies -six trophies to account for -the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and UEFA Super Cup alongside Premier League Golden Boot awards as personal accolades.
Ending his six-year spells at Anfield, Mane played 268 games in all competitions contributing to 158 goals [120 goals and 38 assists] and -23 goals scored last season making him the 14th most scored player in the club history.
