General Secretary of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), Patrick Johnson, says he believes that Ghanaian lightweight Emmanuel “Gameboy” Tagoe [32-1, 15 KOs] should’ve won his bout against Mason Menard [36-5, 25 KOs] by Unanimous Decision (UD) and not the Majority Decision (MD) declared.
“It should be a unanimous decision, not a majority decision but well the first judge gave them a draw and the two judges gave the other points to Emmanuel Tagoe.”
“This is the second time Tagoe is fighting in the States and you will say that maybe there will be a little tension on him but it wasn’t so, he was flair, he was moving up and down and he was using whatever he has to use to win and God being so good he won.” The GBA General Secretary further stated

Tagoe would secure victory over American lightweight Menard in the early morning of Saturday 28th November 2020 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, USA by a Majority Decision (MD) after 10-rounds.
The Gameboy, who returned from a 16-month layoff would dominate the majority of the fight, even cutting Menard above his left eye during the fourth round before beginning to showboat around the ninth which allowed the American to land some shots on him, and Johnson spoke about people complaining about the boxer’s showboating saying:

“I don’t think they are right because that is what he also uses to bring down tension when he is in the ring, that is his style, and you can’t stop him doing his style when you stop him or you change him then you are going to make him lose his fights.”
The 31-year-old is looking to work his way back to a world title after having been stripped of the International Boxing Organization (IBO) World Lightweight title back in 2018 after failing to comply with the body’s rules with his manager Peter Kahn stating that the lightweight could have a shot at Devin Haney‘s [25-0, 15 KOs] World Boxing Council (WBC) World Lightweight title.
“Right now Emmanuel [Tagoe] is rated No. 9 in the WBC, after this fight and victory, he is going to move up and don’t be surprised if he fights Devin Haney for the WBC title before Haney fights the winner of [Ryan] Garcia and [Luke] Campbell.”
