In the course of strengthening their squad ahead of the new season, especially in the Champions League scene, Scottish Champions – Celtic has reportedly targeted two Ghanaian players – Antoine Semenyo and Christopher Scott in the summer transfer window.
Made his first cap early this week in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar as a substitute. Antoine Semenyo who plays his trade with Bristol City in the English championship per reports is targeted by Celtic as a replacement to underperforming Swiss international – Albian Ajeti who join them in 2020 from English side West Ham for a deal worth €5.5M and found the back of the net on 8 occasions in 48 appearances since then.
Proved a point as an attacking-minded in the just-ended season, the 22-year-old his highly likely to be a Celts next season. Involved in 20 goals in the Championship, his current market value is reported to be in the range of €2-5M.
Also on the radar of the Scottish Champions is the German-born Ghanaian midfielder who plays with Bayern Munchen [the youth team to be precise]. A key figure in the youth team, the 20-year-old could soon leave the German giants for £250k.
Assessing his performance last season, Christopher Scott scored 6 goals and provided 6 assists in 15 outings in the Germany fourth division and also made two senior appearances at the latter end.
The young sensational teen contract runs to the end of June 2022 and cashing on him in the next couple of days tends to be a good business.
