Ghanaian boxer Habib “Wild Hurricane” Ahmed [27-1, 18 KOs] looks set to face undefeated American Sebastian Fundora [15-0, 10 KOs] in a super welterweight title eliminator on Sunday 6th December 2020 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, USA.
Habib replaces Fundora’s original opponent Jorge Cota [30-4, 27 KOs] who tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the bout with Fundora’s promoter, Sampson Lewkowicz, revealing that he doesn’t know much about the Ghanaian powerhouse but says he had been on standby just in case something happened to Cota.

“Most likely he’ll be a bigger fighter. He’s one of those kids that are coming from Africa and is very durable so I believe it will be a very great fight anyway.”
“[Fundora] is very upset [because] he trained for a Mexican style. And now you don’t know what he’s bringing. And he trained for a southpaw and a right-hander because Cota is fighting both ways.”
Wild Hurricane will be the American’s most experienced opponent he has faced so far in his career and 22-year-old will be hoping to use his height and length, combined with his power and aggressiveness to take down the 29-year-old fighter.

Habib whose last fight against American Alantez Fox [26-2, 12 KOs] ended in a No-Contest (NC) after three rounds back in August 2020 will be looking to continue his good form which has seen him secure a dominant Unanimous Decision (UD) victory over Columbian Juan De Angel [22-13, 20 KOs] back in May 2019 and knocking out Nigerian Sunday Ajuwa [13-6, 10 KOs] in October 2018.
The Ahmed vs. Fundora fight will be on the undercard of the much anticipated Errol Spence Jr. [26-0, 21 KOs] World Boxing Council (WBC) world welterweight and International Boxing Federation (IBF) world welterweight title defence against Danny Garcia [36-2, 21 KOs] which will be headlining the FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View event which begins Saturday 5th December 2020 at 9 p.m. ET/ Sunday 6th December 2020 2 a.m. GMT
